Dragon Rouge Firestarters: Mash Up, Liven Up competition brief 2024
Campaign

Campaign design, copywriting, packaging, social media content creation, infographics, app design, typography, illustration,
video editing

BRIEF
STATS
IDEA

Take two opposite brands and create a collaboration that solves an issue and brings in new audiences.

Taco Bell is known for its gut unfriendly meals. They have been the butt of the joke on social media for too long with trends such as #tacobellshits as a twitter thread. 80% of UK population are aware of Taco Bell but only 10% say they actually use it. 1 in 5 adults in the UK suffer with IBS and this condition is severely misunderstood.

Taco Bell is cleaning up their reputation with the help of the gut health research charity; GutsUK. During IBS awareness month, April, they will be dropping a new menu with IBS friendly flavours. This promotional campaign will create awareness for this condition and a new narrative for this fast food chain.

Poster designs: promoting the new collaboration and menu alongside bright colours and bold copy

Social media infographics ahowcasing the new menu items with product descriptions & brand consistency - posting across GutsUK and Taco Bell

Social media brand alignment: continuation of taco bell’s quirky social media presence for the new campaign including curated funny posts alongside promotional posts

Bulletproof competition brief 2024
Editorial

Editorial design, creative copywriting, analogue printing, analoge & digital typography, layout design, image creation/curation/editing, app design, marketing materials

BRIEF
STATS
IDEA

Create a product or service for 31-40 year old heritage lovers who are looking for an innovate travel solution.

The majority of 31 to 40 year olds are most likely to want to travel off the beaten track. Wiltshire is a British county filled with rich heritage and hidden gems. However, 4 in 10 tourism based businesses in Wiltshire couldn’t
re-open after COVID wich resulted in tourism losses. With a significant decrease from £1.5bn to £600m.

Wonders of Wiltshire is a podcast aiming to revitalise the county’s tourism by advertising its beauty and essence. The podcasts enhance the listeners travel experience using literature, historical facts and ambient sounds when visiting highlighted areas and monuments. A guidebook is also available which includes hand selected experiences, places to visit and local businesses.

IDEA
A photoshoot for a museum branding project showcasing items that are illegal in some countries:

Lacy underwear has been banned in Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus due to health related risks of the non-absorbent materials. There have been protests in response to this legislation where women have worn lace underwear on their heads.

In China, the Jasmine flower has been banned from being sold in markets around Beijing with the reasoning being unclear and lots of speculations about it.

It is prohibited to wear high heels on Greek Heritage sites such as the Acropolis and the Parthenon. This law was passed due to concerns that the heels would damage the monuments. In Japan it is legal to enforce a rule of female employees to wear high heels to work which has been petitioned against and signed by 18,000 people.

The last photo shows the process of hand sewing a ridiculous amount of lace onto a pair of large knickers.
05.Los Angeles Antiques Show

Logo & brand digitisation
Advertising & Web Design

Website design, analogue & digital experimentation, marketing materials

Website design
BRIEF
IDEA

Using the old advertisment for Los Angeles Antiques Show as inspiration, digitise and extend their logo into a brand identity showcasing relevant touchpoints.

Taking inspiration from their original logo and tone of voice, these outcomes lean into the elegance of vintage through colours, images and patterns. The balanced chaos of the posters and other touchpoints references the muddle of items in antique stores to seach through in order to find the treasures beneath.
Using found images from archived magazines, collaging the findings, then adding layers of digital collage, patterns and type over the top makes the design rustic and unique with a sense of uniformity amongst
the chaos. The frame used in their original logo has been taken throughout the branding to highlight key information and imagery. Adding a website was a crucial part of this project as it brings the festival into the modern day allowing customers to preview items before attending the show. The interface leans into the vintage and chaotic feel of the brand and showcases the items in a unique way, leaning away from the usual format that online stores use.
